The Embers Live Acoustic Bootleg - Free Download !

Hi,

To keep you entertained, while we complete our studio album, we've just posted on the website some songs from our set on 28th April at the Hen & Chicken in Southwater.

This little album has some new songs that are not on the forthcoming album along with a smattering of covers...that we never do.

Come along to our gig tomorrow night at The Bell in Hove, Brighton for some limited edition CD's.

Enjoy

Live recording from tonights acoustic gig

We recorded tonights acoustic gig at the Hen & Chicken and should have something up for you to listen to in a couple of days.

Something a little different this weekend...

The gig at the Hen & Chicken this Saturday will be an all acoustic affair as due to an injury, allegedly incurred at work but I have my doubts, John our drummer has done his back in.

He can therefore only manage the congas rather than a whole kit.

It will be a treat though, as The Embers served up acoustically is a thing of beauty to behold.

Sad news about Phillip

I need to start this post with an apology about how long it's been since the last post...very poor, will try harder. Life just gets in the way sometimes.

It's also with great sadness that we heard last week that Phillip lost his fight against Leukaemia. You might remember that last year 14 bands from around Horsham collaborated together to produce the Songs for Phillip album, in order to do our bit and raise some money.

The project was particularly important to The Embers as Phillip was the brother-in-law of Simon Fever-Leach, our previous bass player. Simon was inspired to leave the band in order to pursue the Songs for Phillip project. We were really glad he did, and were honoured to take part.

We were even more honoured when we heard that our track 'Love...but in reverse' was played at Phillip's funeral on Friday. We are very humbled and hope that in some way our song helps. The Embers have achieved alot in the last couple of years, but of this we are most proud.

God Bless Phillip

Guitar Cell Phone....spank my..phone ?

Thought you might like this...

Musicians could soon have a new instrument to play – their phone. Motorola is patenting a cellphone that displays the layout of a guitar neck on its screen, and allows its keypad to be "plucked" or "strummed" by a user.

First completed song from the new album

Sorry it's taken a while but the first song from our forthcoming album has been completed...subject to a few final tweaks in the mix.

We thought you would like to have a listen, so please let us know what you think.

The track is called She's Gone. Enjoy !
