Formed in 2003, The Embers are an alternative rock band whose style blends elements of folk, rock, pop, country, blues & soul from both sides of the Atlantic.
Renowned for making proper vintage covers their own, covering a whole host of americana, atlantic soul, funk, honky-tonk, boogie-woogie, motown, alt-country, folk and rock‘n’roll, coupled with their own acclaimed material, the band has continued to entertain crowds across Sussex and beyond.
Booked for functions, birthdays, weddings, and as corporate entertainment, the six-piece band can now be booked as an eight-piece to give your event that extra impact.

The Embers formed in 2003, when Andrew Gambling and Steve Jay first joined forces. Originally described on their website as a rock/pop/acoustic/folk/alt-country type phenomena, they now are renowned for their take on vintage covers coupled with their own original music which has been used worldwide.
Having played together for 12 years, and with hundreds of performances under their belt, the band is adept at playing in all types of venues from pubs and clubs through to theatres.
The band members run two bands -The Embers and The Almost Elvis Band - under the umbrella of their own Triggerfish Entertainment Group.
They have all their own equipment, necessary insurances and work closely with you to tailor performances to meet your needs and those of your guests; right down to the timings of when things have to happen on the night.
